OUR MANDATE

The mandate of the Antigonish S.P.C.A. deals with:

	Abused, abandoned, sick and/or injured animals. We do not deal with strays unless these fall into the above category. These animals are the responsibility of the town, county or municipality in which they reside.
	Promotion of Humane Education and responsible pet ownership which includes spay/neuter unless you are a registered breeder with the Canadian Kennel Club or another Registered Kennel Club.
	Providing humane euthanization of animals deemed to be in extreme distress, too severely injured, or other serious circumstances as determined to be in the animal's best interest.
	Finding good adoptive homes for animals placed under our auspices.
